I’ve rereleased this update as 0.4.7 due to compiling issues that prevented TVShows from running on anything but Snow Leopard.
I’m afraid there was a major bug which slipped into 0.4.5 that would prevent anyone from downloading torrents. Pleas e be sure to upgrade as soon as possible so that you’ll be able to download torrents once EZTV is back online.
Note: The Daily Show and Colbert Report will still have issues downloading due to changes in the ezRSS website. I’m working on the issue but there’s no quick fix except for ezRSS reverting to the old format of how the shows are listed.
Changes in 0.4.7:
- Fixes a compiling issue in 0.4.6 that would prevent TVShows from running on anything but Snow Leopard.
- Fixed a critical bug where no episodes would be downloaded. This was unrelated to the EZTV outage.
- Blocked more Doctor Who episodes (seriously?!).

HI I just upgraded to 0.4.6, but the app doesn’t seem to be launching… help?
We will be fixing the ezrss naming issues… We just got ourselves operational again, please give us some time.
Thanks – I totally appreciate the work you’re doing, so my previous post was not meant as a pressure!
I just upgraded from 0.4.5 and now I can’ even launch the app, much less enable it.
Thanks very much for your hard work!
Hi, thanks for this absolutery wonderful app !
Tough screenqueen has a point here, I neither can’t launch the app since the upgrade,, it keeps crashing.

I’m on Os X.5.8
I’ve got two installations of TVShows:
- On an intel Snow Leopard: update works fine (at least, it doesn’t crash).
- On a PPC Tiger: like screenqueen and phoenixx, I can’t launch the app after updating, so I went back to 0.4.5. Lost all my subscriptions (again). Good thing I made a screen capture before updating
Maybe the update is Snow Leopard only?
I’ve rereleased it as 0.4.7 due to compiling issues that prevented TVShows from running on anything but Snow Leopard. Please go download that and see if it works.
That would be unexpectedly disappointing.
It works, thanks a lot !
Hi,
It works for me too, thank you.
I also updated the Snow Leopard installation. It works, but now it takes too long to launch (I’ve just counted 28 bounces of the icon in the dock before the window opens). Not a big deal, but I thought I’d let you know.
4 bounces for me on Leopard.
Thanks for all your hard work on this app… Much appreciated. Weird about just The Daily Show and Colbert Report that will no longer pull down from their feed. I used to grab those shows daily, and none have downloaded in a couple months. I miss them, but can live without it as they often will pile up quite a bit before I can watch them all.
Thanks again.
Matt, great work on the app. However, since eztv went down in January, it hasn’t downloaded any shows. I have unsubscribed and resubscribed to the shows, but it still isn’t working. I started Human target tonight, and that is the first time it has added something to transmission. I am using 0.4.7 on SL Mac mini.
